Concord is the largest city in Contra Costa County.  It is 29 miles east of San Francisco adjacent to the beautiful Mt Diablo.  The various neighborhood’s  of Concord are very important to the city’s  family orientated lifestyle, which balances Concord’s gracious early California heritage with recent redevelopment.  Concord offers a range of housing options and prices from apartments to executive housing residents.  Quite family neighborhoods, numerous parks, and large preserves of open space add to the quality of life for its residents  Home appreciation in the past year has risen 20.10 %. 

 In 2000 The city adopted the slogan ”Concord, Where Families Come First “ to help bring attention to the many family and friendly events and activities, organizations and opportunities available in Concord.   Concord has been recognized as the best place in California to raise a family.   It has also been awarded Best Music Scene By Liviabilty.com and has been designated a TREE City USA for 32 consecutive years. The focal point of downtown Concord is Todos Santos Plaza which encompasses an entire city block and is very well known for its Farmers Market.  Most of the immediate area around downtown has been redeveloped with new high-density apartments and condominiums.  These new buildings get to take advantage  of the proximity to public transportation and the Bay Area Rapid  Transit (BART) Station which is  walking distance  from downtown.
