My husband Pat and I moved into Contra Costa County over 28 years ago; the area which we chose to raise and school our own three children. We know from personal experience of the happy and healthy lifestyle offered in the various unique communities which make up Contra Costa County (CCC). This is a place where you can live, work, and play without having to go very far.
The agreeable weather we have most of the year, makes it ideal for a wide range of outdoor activities, including team sports, hiking, swimming, tennis, biking, outdoor entertaining and more. Visitors from all over the world are drawn here to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the mild climate. Temperatures here can often run 10 to 30-degrees warmer than San Francisco depending upon the season. The central locality makes CCC desirable because of its relative close proximity to Monterey and Carmel, Big Sur, Yosemite National Park, The Redwood National Forest, Lake Tahoe and more.
